Where Stories Begin

Where less becomes more.

I write shortshorts, vignettes, scripts, poetry, and songs about love, loss, memory, identity, and the truths we can spend years trying not to see.

The stories are small because the moments that change us often are. A look. An absence. A sentence never finished. Sometimes that’s enough to carry the whole damn thing.

I don’t believe every story needs a tidy ending. Life rarely gives us one. I’m more interested in what stays after the ending—the ache, the question, the truth we can no longer outrun.

Sometimes a story evolves from what it once was. A poem becomes a lyric. A lyric finds its melody. A page becomes a film. The form may change. The marrow remains.

Welcome to Leigh Ittershagen’s portfolio. This is where stories begin—and where The Haus of MARROW™ continues to take form.
